Prisma Photonics, a fast-growing startup, transforms infrastructure monitoring with optical

fibers. We eliminate the need for extra sensors by offering sensor-free solutions to monitor

borders, critical sites, electrical power grids, and oil & gas pipelines across thousands of

kilometers. Specifically, we are building a DLR (Dynamic line rating) system that optimizes

power grids lines rating that enables the grid to support more green electricity.

We are now hiring a Data Analyst with experience, skills, and data-driven reasoning to take a

leading role in extracting insights from our huge database collected over a long time and many

clients. The Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, processing, and performing statistical

analysis on large datasets related to the dynamic capacity of power lines as well as to resilience

of power lines.

The position involves working with advanced monitoring systems, weather data, and line ratings

to optimize grid performance and monitor grid resilience. This role requires a combination of

technical skills, analytical thinking, and business acumen to help the organization make data-

driven decisions. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in data analysis techniques and tools and

has a strong ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.

The Data Analyst reports to the PrismaPower Product director.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and integrate data from various sources, including weather stations, Prisma sensor, line sensors, and SCADA systems.
  • Ensure data quality and consistency for accurate analysis and reporting.
  • Conduct statistical analysis and use data visualization tools to present findings.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of DLR systems and resilience detectors and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
  • Interpret and communicate results to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements:
  • B.Sc. degree in a related field. M.Sc./Ph.D. is an advantage.
  • At least 5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field.
  • Strong Data analysis and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, R, Python, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with database management systems and data warehousing.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
